Q. Who can join the union?

Q: How much are union dues?
A: Dues vary by local and are typically a small percentage of your pay. They fund contract negotiations, grievance support, legal services, training, and organizing power.
Q: What do I get in return for paying dues?
A: You get a voice on the job, legal representation, better wages and benefits, protection from unfair discipline, and access to a union that fights for your future.
Q: Can I be fired for joining or supporting the union?
A: No. It’s illegal for your employer to retaliate against you for union activity. Federal labor law protects your right to organize and speak up together.
Q: What if I have a problem at work?
A: Contact your union rep or steward. We’ll help you file a grievance, resolve the issue, and make sure your rights are enforced under the contract.
Q: Do I have to go on strike?
